The telnet command opens a connection to another computer
via the internet network. This command allows you to log onto
machines around the world that you have accounts on or that allow
public access. For example, the University of
Michigan offers public telnet access to weather information. To
access this information type
telnet madlab.sprl.umich.edu 3000
